This is a message of hope for all people. We have all fallen short in professing the love of Jesus. This story of Peter's denial of his Lord is a wake up call for us. We could easily find ourselves on the spot just as Peter was. What will we say when faced with the question, "Are you one of those Christians?" To deny Christ may seem to be our reflexive response when put on the spot by in today's wicked world. Jesus has the answer for our time of weakness. This message of reassurance will surely help us in the days to come.
